| Special features | |
 | KWB Rotary Grate Firing System The centrepiece of the KWB Powerfire is an innovative, patent-pending rotary grate firing system, which was recently developed by KWB. A clever air distribution system ensures that the necessary amount of air is supplied to each combustion section. The whole firing system can be extended for maintenance work.
| | KWB lambda probe The lambda probe on the one hand guarantees optimum air conduction with regard to high combustion quality also with fluctuating fuel qualities and on the other hand provides modulating performance control from ember-bed maintenance to full load with optimum fuel utilisation.
| | KWB ash removal ? fully automatic, compacted ash elimination! The ash cleaned from the heat exchanger and collected in the reversal chamber is transported to the built-on ash container from the boiler by the cleaning system. For added convenience, both ash fractions can be transported into an external ash container if desired, thus considerably prolonging emptying intervals.
| | The KWB heat exchanger ? with automatic cleaning! The heat exchanger comprises a standing nest of boiler tubes, which are combined in adjacently arranged modules. Due to the compact arrangement of the heat exchanger, the flue-gas flow is forced to change direction many times in the reversing chambers, thus ensuring the best possible separation of fly dust and fine dust in the heat exchanger.
| | KWB cyclone combustion Chamber The afterburning zone is designed in the shape of a vertical cyclone combustion chamber, into which secondary air is supplied. Despite this extremely compact construction design, sufficiently long retention times and temperatures of the combustion gases in the primary and secondary burning zone can be guaranteed.
